James (Jim) Anderson Short, 71, of Greenwood, passed away, Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Northern VA Medical Center in Marion, IN. He was born in Hazard, KY on July 11, 1936. His parents Harlan and Mollie Short, one brother Alvin and one sister Irma Belle predecease him. His survivors include three nieces (Debbie, Sandy and Patricia) and one nephew (Mike), along with several great nieces and nephews. Jim proudly dedicated 20 years of service to his country as a Staff Sergeant in the Security Service Intelligence Branch of the United States Air Force. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service 2:30 p.m. at Christians United Soldiers Memorial Chapel, 5626 Lawton Loop East Dr., Indianapolis, IN, with Pastor Ted Stephenson officiating.
